Global Internship Scholarship

Global Interns are automatically considered for scholarship funding. Do not fill out an application.

The scholarship awards range from $100-$3,000 and are awarded during the semester in which a student completes their internship. The amount of the scholarship will vary based on the country, internship costs, and financial need. Additional factors such as number of applicants and prior academic record will also be considered. Scholarships are available to students who secure a Hinckley global internship or set up their own global internship and have it approved by the Hinckley Institute.

IMPORTANT: Students who graduate from the University of Utah are eligible to complete a Hinckley internship during the semester following graduation if they register for credit, but they are NOT eligible for scholarship funding. We accordingly recommend students interested in interning at the end of their senior year to defer graduation for one semester so that they can qualify for scholarship funding.

Scholarship Requirements:

  • Must be a degree-seeking student at the University of Utah

  • Student must participate in a global internship and be registered for HNKLY credit

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawfully present in the U.S., or have graduated from a Utah high school.

  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA
